PGB (‘Persoons gebonden Budget’ or personal budget)
This allows people who have a physical or mental illness the possibility to decide themselves by who and when they want to be helped or guided. You can hire in support. When you either can’t or don’t want to arrange this yourself, you can designate a legal representative to do it on your behalf. There are different types of PGBs. Community worker
They know all the latest legal rules around PGBs and you can also approach them with questions or requests for mediation with your employer. They also know the details of the options around taxi / hospital transport, household help, paying for aids such as wheel-chairs. They can help for example with getting the right forms from your health insurer.
